AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer - Associate
This is an Associate-level AWS certification designed for professionals who work in operating and managing cloud environments. It focuses on deploying, managing, and operating workloads on AWS, with strong emphasis on monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, reliability, security, networking, and performance and cost optimization.
It also validates your practical ability to work with AWS operational services and tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Systems Manager, Auto Scaling, IAM, VPC, and others. For that reason, it is considered one of the most important certifications for anyone who wants to prove themselves in Cloud Operations, Cloud Administration, or CloudOps.
No, it is not required to hold a previous AWS certification before taking this one.
However, AWS indicates that this certification is most suitable for candidates who have around one year of experience in deployment, management, troubleshooting, networking, and security on AWS. For those without prior technical experience, it is recommended to start with AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner first in order to build a strong foundation before moving on to SOA-C03.
The AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer – Associate certification proves that you do not only understand AWS theoretically, but that you can also operate, monitor, secure, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments in a practical way. It is a very strong certification for anyone who wants to enter or advance in the Cloud Operations path on AWS, especially because of its clear focus on modern operational tools, automation, multi-account and multi-region environments, and even containers, which are now part of the official scope of SOA-C03.
