Do I need certifications before it ?
No, not required.
However, it is academically recommended to have a solid background in network security through SCOR 350-701 studies, along with prior experience working with ASA or routers. A clear understanding of IPsec and IKE protocols is essential, as they form the foundation of secure connectivity solutions.
